Friday Flashback // Get in my ears!
Hall & Oates, basically any song of theirs, but today specifically it's "I Can't Go For That (No can do)". I've been in a bit of a funk this week, we're in the process of moving house and it's all a bit stressful and unsettling, we've had a few issues sorting out contracts etc and it's led to me being a bit of a pain to live with.
Yesterday I rediscovered the awesomeness of Hall & Oates and you just can't help but want to boogie on down when you hear them. I also can't stop thinking about that Mighty Boosh scene when I hear this song, which also puts a smile on my face. It's a pretty fitting song for a Friday afternoon and should see you through the rest of the working day with a little spring in your step ready for the weekend!
Happy Friday!

Fancy Full Fridays
Nicci has abandoned me for Glastonbury this weekend (I am not jealous at all......) where she will hopefully take in the delights of the Rolling Stones, Alt-J, Haim and Kenny Fricking Rogers to name a few! This is the first year in a long while where I have not gone to a 3 day music festival, this felt like a good idea at the start of the year, now I'm not so sure. The reason being, the boy and I are going to Costa Rica in December this year so I'm meant to be saving up for that, I just keep telling myself it'll be worth it when I'm in a rainforest with monkeys!
Anyways this means I am having to distract myself from thinking about all the fun being had in Somerset and enjoy my weekend here..........
I'll be heading to the Crystal Palace Festival on the Sunday to join in the celebration of 'all things vintage'. If you haven't yet journeyed to Crystal Palace, I really recommend it, there are loads of really good second hand and vintage shops. The lovely Boo to a Goose will be there and I've heard that she's bringing 100 dresses.....this could be dangerous!
I'm hopefully going to get baking this weekend. I haven't had time to bake in a while and I am feeling the urge to get the flour and butter out and make something tasty. I think this cake from Bleubird blog may be the one, the savoury flavours are really floating my boat this week.
I have very very nearly finished making a top, it just needs a fastener on the back and it's done and dusted. I have to say I am really quite proud of myself, it's come out looking really quite nice. I'll hopefully be sharing it here very soon. I now have the making bug and really want to get this book and this book and give some of them a go. Hope the instructions are super simple, I was almost outfoxed by my supposedly simple pattern!

Fancy Full Fridays - Relaxation Edition
We've both been pretty flat out recently with our escapades of the previous weeks and are definitely in need of a relaxing weekend. Here are a few things that will be aiding this super chilled weekend:
Just because we're relaxing does not mean we won't be have a drink (or two), this Carrot Orange Ginger Bourbon cocktail by Joy the Baker is tickling our taste-buds. Also it has veg and fruit in it, it's practically healthy!
To aid the relaxation and to accompany the drink, I think I'm going to have a go at making this Raspberry and Coconut Cake. Sounds like it will be really delicious.
We may have mentioned before but we are all MASSIVE Nashville fans, last night's episode was incredible and there was messaging between Nicci, Freya and myself as we were gobsmacked by what happened! If you're not watching this already I really recommend giving it a go.
Freya and I went to see Haim in Koko last week and they were so good, I now want to be in a guitar playing girl band. I will probably continue my obsession with them over the weekend and will be listening to this song on repeat.
If the sun holds out then we're hoping for picnic weather on Saturday, we love this picnic idea from Oh Happy Day and would love if someone made us a fancy picnic bag.
Hopefully we're going to do some crafting this weekend and I'm looking forward to finally making my top. If it goes to plan I'll be posting about it next week. I'm reading a lot of Tilly and the Buttons at the moment to inspire me to crack out my sewing machine and get going!
Happy Friday everyone!

Nicci and I finding possibly the best jumper ever at the last Seek and Revive Kilo Sale.
This weekend is basically a continuation of what has been an awesome week!
Nicci and I are heading back to Seek and Revive Vintage Kilo Sale after our excellent trip last month. Must. Use. Self. Control.
Also my wonderful Mum is coming to visit this weekend and we have lots planned........
Hopefully we will be heading to the Natural History Museum on Saturday afternoon and Frey has heard excellent things about this exhibition, so we'll be popping in there. Although I have been living in London a while now I still haven't quite managed to get to the Natural History Museum so I'm quite looking forward to it!
If the weather stays nice we will hopefully be heading to Little Venice and taking the canal boat down the river to Camden. I've done this once before and it was so much fun, Little Venice is beautiful in its self and the boat ride goes past beautiful houses, London Zoo and through Regent's Park.
On the Monday I'm taking my Mum to the David Bowie Is exhibition at the V&A. I cannot wait, Nicci went this week and reported back on how amazing it was. My mum informed me that she was planning on painting a lighting bolt on her face in honour of the great Mr. Bowie. I am kind of hoping this happens.
I am also hoping that the Mama and I have some time to take in some afternoon tea at Drink Shop Do. It is a craft shop, come tea room with a bar downstairs. Right up my street!

No messing about, this weekend is going to be awesome! The gang will finally be reunited on Saturday as we head off to frolic around in a field listening to blissful tunes and drinking ciderrrrr. It's going to be just what the doctor ordered!
This song has been running around my head all
Our first stop this long weekend is Field Day festival, I'm most looking forward to seeing Bat For Lashes, Cvrches, Daughter and Mulatu Astatke but the entire line up is just so good.
I'm considering being a bit braver than usual and getting a cropped top, this one from River Island has caught my eye. I'd pair it with my super high waisted long polka dot skirt to keep the look demure.
Monday sees us planning a little outing to Brighton to be beside the seaside, I'm not loving the weather forecast so far though so we might hiding out here eating cake instead.
I've extended my weekend even further as it is Edmund's birthday on Tuesday so we will be finally visiting the David Bowie Is exhibition at the V&A, seriously excited for this one. His family are also coming to visit for lunch on the South bank, it's going to be a lovely day.
So much fun! Hope you're making the most of this weekend too fingers crossed for some sunshine.

Reading Kinfolk. I am seriously enjoying flicking through this magazine, the photographs are beautifully shot.
Panicking about
the 10K run and obstacle course we signed ourselves up for, it's
roughly 4 weeks away and at this moment in time feels more than a little
daunting!
Coveting these clogs from Lotta. I bought some Swedish Hasbeens last week and I am already head over heels (excuse the
pun) and it appears to have started a slight obsession........
Wishing I
was in Costa Rica right now. The boy and I are heading to Costa Rica at
the end of December and I am not one to wish my life away but for this I
may start.
Excited for Field Day Festival. We're heading
here a week tomorrow and I may have been slightly sad yesterday and
printed the times out and gone through the acts with a highlighter.

The thing I'm most looking forward to this weekend is an introduction to dressmaking course at the Creative Sewing Studio which I'll be taking on Sunday. I am happy to knock a cushion up at home but lack the confidence to tackle anything else. Hopefully after Sunday I'll be feeling knowledgeable enough to start making a wide range of things!
I bought this record player last week and am looking forward to collecting it tomorrow morning. In preparation I bought two very key records, Dolly Parton Greatest Hits and Fleetwood Mac Rumours. It's going to be a lovely feeling listening to records, cooking in the kitchen and probably dancing about like a crazy person! It's also another reason to always go in to charity shops and car boot sales!
My issue of Kinfolk Magazine arrived this week and as yet I haven't had chance to sit down and read it, I am really looking forward to the lovely moment when I get to! This issue focuses on ice-cream and let me tell you I am a massive ice cream fan so I can't wait to try any suggestions/recipes out!
We probably have previously mentioned that all of us at Fancy Full are completely obsessed with Nashville. Well the obsession has deepened ever since we discovered how amazingly talented (not to mention sticking cute) the two young girls who play Maddy and Daphne are, watch this and you will not be disappointed.
Happy Friday!

Friday again! This week has flown by for me, I think the sunshine is definitely helping me. Here are some of my picks this week and for the weekend. I'm heading to Kew Gardens on Sunday with my family for a good old fashioned picnic and a wander about, I can't wait! Hope you have a fabulous time whatever you do, It's a long weekend and we're looking at some sunshine so make the most of it while it lasts!!
1) I'm hopefully dragging Lucy along to Tooting Tram and Social next week to play Indie Bingo with me, I figure it can be an introduction with hope of eventually persuading her to come play real Bingo with me. Crafty eh?
2) How amazing are these shorts from ASOS? I love the print and think the running shorts style would be really flattering with the slit up the side.
3) I'm also really into this two piece set from Topshop and I'm seriously considering trying to DIY something similar out of a dress I picked up at the Seek and Revive Kilo sale last weekend. I think the modest flash of stomach is adorable, I'm not usually someone who would flash their belly but this is really tempting me to be braver...
4) Lucy, Freya and I are all super obsessed with Nashville at the moment, I basically have the sound track running around constantly in my head. Perfect summer BBQ music...
5) Which brings me neatly on to 5, how amazing is this Bucket BBQ from Sainsbury's? So much nicer than the disposable ones, not to mention more environmentally friendly. I was eyeing these up last year as well but think this year I will definitely get involved.
6) Finally look how pretty my shoes are! I got these beauties c/o Barratt's shoes recently, they're due to be featured in their very own post shortly but I thought they deserved a preview, especially as they currently have £10 off. I was most pleasantly suprised by the selection of shoes available on the Barratt's website and the prices are fantastic. Have a look, it's not just school shoes!

Freya
is coming to visit for the weekend! Excited doesn't even cover it, at
the moment the weekend is shaping up to include cocktails, dancing,
mexican food, vintage clothes and sewing!
As part of that fun we are heading to Seek and Revive
on Saturday which is a new vintage kilo sale we heard about this week.
There is apparently a bar on the side, what's not to like!
I really want these pastel Asos brogues,
they will be the perfect spring shoe. I just can't decide whether to
get them in this colour way or go for a block colour? Ahh decisions,
decisions!
Pick me Up
is coming into it's last weekend at Somerset House, I went down a few
years ago and they had really good art available at really good prices.
It's perfect if you're after some original work for your walls that
doesn't break the bank.
After reading this post
and then eating loads of macarons in Paris, I really want to have a
bash at making them. It can't be that hard right? This seems like the
perfect Sunday evening baking task.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Fancy Full Fridays- English Riviera
English Riviera by nicci-robertson
I'm going to Brighton this evening, and right now that's all my little brain can think about! Too excited to be at work! I'm meeting up with some of my lovely friends from Leicester and we're going to have fish and chips here (so good!), then cocktails perhaps here, and then who knows where the night will take us. Usually the two penny slot machines feature though, I have a serious problem with those bad boys!
I love Brighton so much and always have an amazing time, I think part of my soul just feels more alive whenever I'm near the sea. I spent almost a year living on a yacht when I was younger so perhaps that has something to do with it. Either way, with the hope of it being sunny tomorrow I've been picking out some lovely things from the internet which would look perfect beside the seaside.
1) This glittery sunglasses from ASOS are so amazing! They're a great neutral shade but the glitter adds a little something extra, and the round shape is so cute as well.
2) This dress from Topshop has stolen my heart, I love the colour and the beautiful print. It would look equally lovely with bare legs (gasp!) if the sun does show up, or with tights if we're not that lucky.
3) These shoes from Clarks have been on my mental wishlist for quite some time now. I love the cut out detail on the toe and the colour is great for wearing with summer dresses. Plus with Clarks you know you're getting quality (that is my moher speaking right there!)
4) With the sun comes the promise of Al Fresco lunch breaks and wouldn't you be the coolest person in your office if you rocked up with this Bento box! If if you're forced to lunch a la desk you couldn't help but smile at this. The "hair" is actually a bowl which is perfect for eating Miso soup from or for fruit salad.
5) I have got the fairest skin imaginable and at even the slightest suggestion of sunshine I become one big freckle. I also burn so easily but find applying suncream all the time just makes my skin break out. This year I'm planning to invest in this Bare Minerals sunscreen powder. It provides a bit of foundation coverage as well as being factor 30 and won't make my skin greasy. I think she might be the one.
Lucy has some very exciting top secret plans this weekend which I can't divulge right now, but be sure to check back next week for an update, it will be awesome!
Anyway I hope you all have a fantastic weekend whatever you do!

Made with Polyvore
1. Sweedish Hasbeens have opened pop up shop in The Old Truman Brewery. I have wanted a pair for so long, I am going to have to go take a look.
2. I saw this bedding mentioned on A Beautiful Mess and I absolutely love it! You can get it delivered to the UK but it costs quite a lot!
3. The Vintage Kilo Sale starts today and is on until tomorrow. Nicci and I said earlier this month that we were going to be good and not go but it's too much fun and there are too many bargains to resist! We blogged about our last trip here
4. I have serious love for this dress, I saw it in Leeds over the Easter Weekend and I really wanted it, that love has not gone away! Hopefully it'll still be there on payday!
5. There is also the South West Jumble on this Sunday. This is an event I'd never heard of before, but judging by the picture from the last event it was held at a bar around the corner from my house! Well this Sunday I'm going to pop down to Battersea Mess and Music Hall and check it out!

I am loving that it's Friday already, thank you long weekend! I hope you all had a wonderful break over the Easter weekend, mine was full of family and food which is exactly what I needed to recharge my batteries after pounding the streets of Madrid with my sister last week. We had a fabulous time and there are pictures coming soon I promise, once I can upload them from my new camera onto my laptop which is currently in Leicester...
Anyway high up on my to do list this weekend is visiting the Schwitters in Britain exhibition at the Tate. I never realised but Schwitters actually died in the town I grew up in, Kendal. I discovered this while in the Reina Sofia museum in Madrid and had to do a double take when I saw that next to one of his works. Hardly anything exciting happens in Kendal and I couldn't believe I'd missed this!
Another reason for wanting to visit this exhibition is that British Sea Power (one of Kendal's other claims to fame) have done a sound installation for the exhibition which would be really interesting to experience. British Sea Power are a band I grew up watching, I remember some really early sweaty gigs at the tiny John Boste Social Club (where I had my 18th birthday party) and it's amazing to see how far they come.
Even though this week has been a short one, it doesn't mean I have been procrastinating at least a little bit of my time looking at this amazing Tumblr. Thanks to Emerald Street for the heads up, this made my week!
This week I am mostly dreaming of owning this sofa for some reason. It just makes my little IKEA sofa bed look so sorry for itself, with the cushions always slipping off and suspect stains from late night kebabs (thanks Ed).
If I had any money left to my name at all, I would definitely be visiting Frock Me this weekend. It's on this Sunday at Chelsea Town Hall and I have no doubt it will be excellent, they have the best vintage.
Have a fantastic weekend whatever you end up doing!

Pictures from the Photoautomat in Berlin with my lovely friends Heather, Gemma and Megan.
Here's where we went for dinner. Abbeville Kitchen is really worth the trip, we ate a lot of lovely food and drank a lot of lovely wine. There was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, it was relaxed but fancy enough to feel that you had properly gone out for dinner. I can heartily recommend the fish stew and everyone in the world should eat their red cabbage, it was the best I'd ever tasted!
I've been on it with exercising for the past few weeks as I took up the £40 for 30 consecutive days offer at Good Vibes. I've been going to yoga at 7.30am before work and whilst I've been having a little tired slump around 11am on the whole it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be at that time of the morning! They also do power plate classes, I've only been to one but I am going to do a few more classes next week.
I've been looking on Pinterest for quilting inspiration for one of my goals for the Year of 26. Have a look at some of the ones I've been pinning for inspiration. I'm popping to Leeds for Easter and so will be speaking to my Grandma, who is a crafting queen, about how to get started!
I already own a pair of short dungarees which I loved wearing last summer but I'm trying to decide whether I can pull off a full length pair. I love these and I like the check pattern on these but will I look like a farmer? Maybe I should just take the plunge and try some on!
Anyways that's me this week, hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

It really feels like this week has taken forever to get through, and the weather has been so grim but we're finally there! This weekend is all about spending quality time with my lovely mama who will be visiting me, we're planning a girly weekend with lots of lazy brunches and knitting. Bliss.
Here are a few bits and pieces for you to enjoy anyway that I've been hoarding up over the week.
Happy weekend!
I'll be visiting this craft fair with my mama on Sunday, hoping to pickup some tips!
I am so in love with this bike shop, I want everything from here and it's making me so excited to get my bike back out on the road!
I'm going retro on Saturday and going bowling here, next on the list to do is laser quest! I'm so keen for that!
It's a certain someone's birthday real soon (lulu) and this free wrapping paper from Hey Look would be so perfect! If only I could make it big enough ;) haha!
These are my snack of choice at the moment, I made them with milk chocolate last weekend and they were divine!
Enjoy your weekend!!

All the Fancy Full ladies are going to Great Gatsby at Wilton's Music Hall on Saturday. I am beyond excited as it is one my favourite books and I cannot wait to see it in the theatre. And the little cherry on top is that it's being performed in Wilton's Music Hall which is one of the earliest music halls.
We are being so very 90s on Saturday night and having a slumber party! We'll be watching this and this, ultimate slumber party films! I cannot wait to watch Clueless again, Cher's wardrobe is the dream!
Obviously we need amazing snacks at the party so we'll definitely making a batch of this and probably making up more random popcorn toppings, I'm already planning some sort of dark chocolate extravaganza!
All we need now is some amazing pyjamas to lounge around in and life on Saturday will be pretty darn good!
And if that wasn't enough on Sunday we're going to take a look at The Vintage Event at Balham Bowl's Club, because it just wouldn't be the weekend without a trip to a vintage fair!
Hope eveyone has a glorious Friday!

Hope everyone has had a happy week and here's hoping that the weekend will be wonderful!
Continuing my current obsession with rings this guy is rather cute. Obviously I would customise with an L. Could be a potential replacement for the lost pinky ring (still in mourning for that one!)
The Vintage Kilo Sale is back this weekend. Nicci and I will be there with our rummaging heads on, not that we need to add any more clothes to the massive collections we appear to amassed. If you haven't already visited the Kilo Sale you definitely should, it's always provides me with a good little collection of new to me threads.
This Etsy shop is a current favourite of mine at the moment, the cushions are a thing of beauty.
The Roy Lichtenstein retrospective at the Tate Modern is another must see exhibition which hopefully I will go see very soon.
This recipe for spelt banana bread is currently rocking my world. I've made it twice and both times it has been super tasty. It could not be any simpler to make and believe me the results are worth it every time!
Happy Fridays Everyone!

I'm feeling the party mood this weekend so will be having a go at making these mojitos, they look so good.
This dress makes me want to party on down! It's summery but not so much it couldn't be paired with tights and a slouchy cardigan for our current climes, love it.
Obviously all this partying will be taking place to the soundtrack of our party valentines playlist!
I'm thinking the day after all those mojitos and partying I'll be needing a good breakfast, this place is one of my favourites. Their scrambled eggs and smoked salmon are amazing not to mention the cakes!
To me this sounds like the most perfect place on earth, knitting, sausage dogs and a cafe all combined! I'm sold, see you there.
Whatever you do have a fantastic weekend!

| There is no reason for this picture other than it's awesome and cheery |
Well all I can say is TGIF! This week has been busy and long and I am counting the hours until the weekend officially begins!
I'm going to see Tatyana by Companhia de Danca Deborah Colker this eve. They are a Brazillian contemporary dance company and I have heard only wonderful things about them. They normally use amazing sets and it looks like this one will be no different.
We mentioned earlier this week that we went to Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair last Saturday. Well this weekend it's back with the Vintage Furniture Flea at York Hall in Bethnal Green. I desperately want to go but I've been splashing the cash fairly recklessly this month and may have to hold off!
Last weekend I finally cracked making Salted Caramel Popcorn, it is my new favourite snack, fairly easy, cheap and so blooming tasty! I now want to try this amazing Rosemary and Parmesan popcorn recipe. The world is my oyster when it comes to popcorn flavours!
And I managed to get Fleetwood Mac tickets this morning! So very, very excited!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

It's finally February! Pinch punch first of the month, white rabbits etc (now you understand the picture I hope). So for me yesterday was finally payday, 6 weeks without being paid has led to rather a long wish list accumulating! Cue many celebrations and a flurry of activity on eBay before realising it was mostly spent before it even arrived. Ho hum never mind, I'm still dreaming anyway so without further ado, here are my lovely Fancy Full Friday picks...
Lucy and I will be visiting Judy's affordable vintage fair at Spittalfields market this Saturday for a good old rummage around. Excited!
Seriously contemplating hopping on the boucle trend with this little Topshop number, so pretty! Also just wishing I could buy up the whole of Topshop as usual, but especially these beauties.
I'll be catching up with the latest episodes of My Mad Fat Diary this weekend, I was pretty sceptical about it but after watching the first episode last week I'm pretty hooked.
I am seriously head over heels for this nail varnish, it has actual diamonds in it! Yes it's ridiculous, yes it's super pricey, yes it's really rather silly, but they're diamonds! Plus the colour is just gorgeous, definitely justifiable...
Trying to persuade Lucy to take me to here, I can pretend I'm there for the gorgeous architecture while satisfying my guilty love of bingo.
Mostly listening to the new Everything Everything album and trying to decided whether I like it or not. I saw them play the new album at Village Underground in November last year and it didn't really grab me then, but I'm determined to give it a fair chance to grow on me. I already like the singles so I'm keeping the hope alive for the album.
And dreaming of making one of these adorable dollhouses out of vintage suitacases. I have absolutely no need and no space for one, but they are gorgeous!
Have a fabulous weekend!

This wall hook from Etsy may come in handy in the second bedroom (aka my wardrobe room) for displaying hats. necklaces and some of the pretty items of clothing I appear to have acquired through years of vintage shopping.
I seriously love these storage buckets, I think they maybe a necessity for all our bits and bobs that seem to be floating round.
This house makes me swoon. We have just painted our hallway grey and I am completely in love with it. This house has provided me with some inspiration and has some beautiful pictures and decoration. After I've lived in my flat can I go live here?
This wardrobe system has answered all my issues with my clothing storage. I did some scale drawings that hurt my head but I think I've cracked it.
You can follow along with the renovations plans at Fancy Full's Pinterest and on our Instagram account.
Wish me luck for painting this weekend, Happy Friday!
