Designers/Makers // London Markets
Beautiful antique and re-claimed chairs with seats woven in leather, satin ribbon and glow lace from Caned. I fell head over heels in love with the antique cruise liner recliner pictured above. Also the back story of why Rachael does chair caning and rush seating is lovely.
Nicci purchased an excellent David Bowie print from Scout Editions. They had such a good selection of different prints, I was undecided about this beautiful polar bear print but I held back but it still in the back of my mind!
I had a little moment about I Am Acrylic being at the market, I already have one of the bird rings (pictured above) from when I went to Bestival a few years ago and it was lovely to see the stall again! Nicci was a little confused about how it was made but the handy guide they have on the table helped her out!
We are definitely jewellery fans at Fancy Full and we are both into rings in a big way, Dana Kidson had such a beautiful selection of rings and other jewellery, everything was beautifully crafted and generally lust inducing.
Mister Peebles does the loveliest and pretty amusing illustrations of animals. A personal fave for us both was this David Meowie print!
I spied this life affirming print at Lovely Jojo's and it made me chuckle.....it might be the perfect print for a bathroom!?
Designers/ Makers is not only a monthly market but is also is an agency for contemporary design within the UK, they also sell some of their lovely members work through their website. If you want to check the market out then you can catch them at Spitalfields on the third Saturday of every month and they will be at the Southbank Centre from 16th to 22nd December for their Christmas event.
Thanks for having us Designers/Makers!

Blogger Brunch // Crepeaffaire
Nicci and I were lucky enough to be invited to a blogger brunch as part of the Designers/Makers fair held monthly at Old Spitalfields Market. We met Sophie and Hollye from designers/makers, Sara from Kanpai (beautiful photography) and Cheylene from Girl in London (excellent London guide). We started off with some lovely crepes and blogger conversations at Crepe Affaire. If you are stuck for somewhere to have a tasty meal, I can heartily recommend Crepe Affaire, Nicci and I sampled the savoury crepes and boy were they delicious, I think a new favourite brunch spot has been born!
It was lovely to chat with fellow bloggers as even though we do Fancy Full as a duo, it's sometimes a little lonely as it's normally just us and a computer!
Chatting with Sophie the founder of Designers/Makers about how she has set up the agency and market was incredibly interesting and is definitely inspiring us to get going with the fledgling Fancy Full Vintage!
Keep your eyes peeled for a post on the market, which will be coming up very, very soon!

Fancy Full on tour! // Fancy full Vintage
It took us quite a bit longer to set up than expected, being the perfectionists that we are, people were already coming through the doors while we were putting out our last few items. But we were so pleased with the end results and incredibly proud of our little shop. It was a lot of fun, especially when gin and cake o’clock rolled round at 3pm! Here are a few photos from the day...
Beautiful items from Andapanda and Summerhouse that we were selling on behalf of our very talented family members. My sister handmakes and designs all of the Andapanda stuff and Lucy's mum makes all of the amazing Summerhouse origami cards.
We learnt so much and met some really lovely crafters andvintage sellers. We’re already super keen to plan our next Fancy Full outing so watch this space for details! All the money we made is going right back into buying more stock, so expect to see some photos of all those goodies popping up soon. We’re also in the process of planning an online shop where you can buy the clothes you see in our blog posts and also the other things we’re selling at markets. Exciting times!

Adventures // America
We (Freya, Nicci and I) spent Sunday morning planning for our American road trip we have scheduled for next year. We are so excited! The map above is the route we decided on complete with drawings!
The plan is to fly into Nashville spend a little bit of time there, then we are heading east to Dollywood (!) and we start our drive south west to Texas. We are giving ourselves just over ten days and we will be taking about 3 days over the big portion of the drive, we plan on camping, hiring a car and being American road trip cliches! The last part of our trip will be spent in Marfa, Texas and we will be staying at El Cosmico and exploring the desert. The final stop will be Austin and then we'll fly home back to reality.
Here are some of the beautiful things we will hopefully encounter on our trip.......
1. Texas State Line
2. Beautiful Dolly and Dollywood
3. Balmorhea springs
4. Tepee at El Cosmico
Excited doesn't even begin to cover it!

Adventures // Barcelona
I recently went to Barcelona to visit my sister for her birthday. She has lived there for about 9 years now and I usually visit at least once a year, it's such an amazing city. I only went for a long weekend and as I've mostly done all the touristy things now we spent most of our time on the beach!
Our favourite thing to do is to take the train up the coast to St Pol de Mar and visit the amazing restaurant right on the beach front and eat so much Paella and drink Sangria, heaven! It's only about 45 minutes from the city but it feels like another world, so relaxing with incredibly clear seas. You can walk along the coast from St Pol to the nearby town of Caella which takes you along the cliff tops and the views are just beautiful. There are also a few naturist beaches along they way if that floats your boat!

Waterloo Sunset // Adventures
Last week I decided to take a little holiday at home and spend some time exploring London. It's funny but even having lived here for over two years now I still don't feel like I know it, and I haven't been to even half of the tourist attractions. I would usually avoid the real honey traps on a regular day and do the typical Londoner muttering complaints under my breath. But this week I merrily mooched about with my map and camera just like the rest of the tourists, and I loved it!!
Here are a few of my snaps...
Central St Martin's looking like Ziggy Stardust next to Regents Canal...
A slightly rainy trip on the London Eye, the views were still incredible though and the queue was really quite quick too.
We did so many other fun things but mostly I forgot to take pictures, I'm really bad a remembering! But I'm off to Barcelona this week to visit my big sister and will make much more of an effort to document things!
Do you have a favourite place in London you'd like to share? I'm always looking for new places to try out and have especially caught the tourist bug since my week off. Please let me know!
Nicci
